120 000 people from 163 different countries gathered together in the beginning of May in Munich, Germany for the world's biggest environmental trade show, IFAT 2008. The amount of visitors rose 10% from the last IFAT held in 2005. Also the number of exhibitors increased and was little over 2500; one of the exhibitors was Finnish pioneer of environmental techniques: ALLU.

Yet slightly unknown concept, mass stabilisation and the advantages it provides, interested many exhibition visitors. The method for mass stabilization, developed by ALLU Finland Ltd., was presented at the ALLU stand. At display was ALLU PM Power Mix which is part of ALLU Stabilisation System. Mass stabilisation is quick and cost effective method for hardening soft soils by mixing a binding agent to the ground. In addition to this, method fits well for encapsulating contaminated soils.

Along with the ALLU PM, ALLU Stabilisation System consists of ALLU PF Pressure Feeder and ALLU DAC.. ALLU PF Pressure Feeder doses and feeds the binding agent to the ALLU PM, the attachment connected to the excavator which mixes the binding agent to the ground. ALLU DAC. measures, controls and reports the whole stabilisation process.

How to handle the waste problem more efficiently, cheaper and faster? This is the question on everyone's lips since the ever growing waste problem won't vanish by itself. The exhibition visitors searched for new innovations and ways to solve this increasing world wide problem from the IFAT.
