The Port of Valencia in Spain needed a new storage area for shipping containers, with the planned development set to cover an area of approximately 5 ha.
Sediment dredged from other parts of the harbor was used as construction materials. The dredged material was stabilized using the ALLU Soil Improvement System providing a cost effective solution for the foundations of the port extension project.
The ALLU Soil Improvement System stabilized the area cost and time efficiently. In addition, the bearing capacity of the ground was increased, and no other handling of the dredged material was required.
