Allu introduces its new crusher series

1 March 2021

The initial launch from Allu includes three crushers for excavators in the 10 to 33 ton range

Allu, the manufacturer of the Transformer and Processor material handling attachments, is expanding its portfolio with a new lineup of crusher attachments for excavators.

The new heavy-duty range of Allu crushing attachments is purpose-designed to meet the requirements of the quarry, recycling and demolition industries.

At first, the global launch of the new Allu crusher series will see the introduction of three crusher models for excavators in the 10 to 33 ton range. All three models are designed to deliver ease of use, as well as optimize performance, while providing easy maintenance in the field.

“By bringing this new product line to market we will be able to provide customers with what they have been looking for,” said Jeroen Hinnen, vice president of sales for Allu Group.

“The Allu Transformer range offers unique productivity and efficiency benefits on soft rock and other materials, whilst the Allu Crusher range enables hard rock, and often troublesome demolition materials, to be effectively reduced.”

Reversible crushing

The new attachment series also features reversible crushing. This reduces the potential for jamming, blockages or obstruction when rebar is present, while delivering higher levels of production and reducing the need for any manual involvement in the crushing process.

As well, the feed plate design is built into the jaw, which ensures the feeding function in a fully-loaded chamber delivers high rates of production with minimal risk of bridging.

The crushers are also designed to open like a clam. This reduces maintenance time, as it allows quick replacement of wear parts, thanks to ease of access, while minimizing risk to operators and maximizing productive crushing.

For output size regulation, Allu built the crushers with a simple mechanical pin.

According to the company, the pin makes the entire crushing process easy and safe with quick adjustment for various output specifications.

“We look forward to seeing this truly customer focused solution reach the market, which will further help quarrying and demolition professionals transform their business,” Hinnen said. “The product will complement the Allu offering and expand the customer base for the company.”

One-stop shop

Alongside the introduction of the crusher series, Allu has also made advancements in its existing Transformer and Processor lines.

With the motto ‘transforming the way you work,’ Allu is focusing on presenting a one-stop-shop process enabling the screening, crushing, aerating, mixing and loading, all in a one-step operation.

Available in sizes to suit excavators and loaders from 8 tons to 160 tons, the Transformers facilitate the re-use of material on site, meaning there is no need to purchase virgin material, due to the recycling and utilization of left over materials and the generation of an income from it.

As well, all Allu equipment is focused on helping businesses reduce emissions. This is achieved as less material is transported to the jobsite, meaning a reduction in fuel consumption, less material to landfill and the greater efficient utilization of waste materials leading to the support of sustainability.

This is accomplished as Allu helps transform any carrier — excavator, wheel loader or skid steer — into a multi-functional tool that will screen, crush, mix, aerate, pulverize and load all in a one-step operation.

TS blades

All Allu Transformer’s will be equipped with the patented TS blade structure. The TS blades are developed for the screening and crushing market, with Allu expecting to deliver new levels of efficiency and productivity with the new blade variations.

The new blade structure will further enable customers to utilize their Allu Transformer in more than one way. The TS drums are available with two different blade types: standard blades for screening applications and axe blades when a crushing or shredding effect is required.

Blade sizes are available in 16 to 32 mm, 25 to 50 mm and 35 mm. The latest Allu development to the TS assembly enables three different fragment sizes from the same unit. Fragment size estimation is based on screening comb distance, which is easily changed from one screening job to another, providing more versatile processing. Due to the self-cleaning design of the TS, it allows ideal capacity even with wet materials.

Allu mobile app

For use with the Transformers, Allu has also introduced the latest version of the Allu mobile application, which provides an intelligent digital solution for customers and operators to obtain accurate and timely information regarding safe operations at jobsites. Using internet of things (IoT) technology, the Allu App provides information about the working hours and the right angle of inclination used by the Allu Transformer.

In order to maintain maximum productivity on the site and to minimize equipment downtime, the Allu App provides information about the ideal maintenance frequency and the changing of wear parts, based on the working hours.

Furthermore, The Allu App provides instructions to guide the operator through safe working methods when using the Allu attachment throughout the whole operating and ownership process.
